Ohana means family in Hawaiian and it carries a specific idea: family is not only the people you are related to, it is the people you take responsibility for. Nobody gets left behind and nobody gets forgotten.
That is the standard we set for ourselves when we started this company, and it is the reason we chose the name. When we pick someone up, we are not completing a job. We are looking after someone's mother, someone's husband, someone's grandfather. We drive the way we would want a stranger to drive our own.

Every driver on our team lives here in Central Kentucky. Before anyone gets behind the wheel of an Ohana van, they have caregiving experience, current certifications, and training on our equipment.

Sam and Devon Webb established Ohana Care & Transportation in January of 2023 with a vision and desire to service those in need of wheelchair transportation. The vision stemmed from Sam struggling to transport his father to and from doctor’s appointments for nearly a decade after he suffered a brain aneurysm. Inspired by the hardship the struggle brought upon them, Sam and his wife Devon decided to trust in God’s will for them and leave behind the corporate world for a new business adventure serving others in the non-emergency medical transportation field.
The first van was purchased and the two hit the road together. After three years of hard work and consistency, Ohana Care & Transportation now has a fleet of three wheelchair vans. They have built a solid team and strive for compassion, safety and reliability to those they serve every day. Ohana is growing rapidly and the future in God’s hands.
In the couples down time, they enjoy spending time with their 14-year-old son, who keeps them busy with basketball, family time and growing in their love for God. The Webbs are grateful for the opportunity to serve others every day.
Every driver is certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR, as required by the state, and trained on wheelchair securement before they carry a single rider.

We partner with nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, hospitals, hospice teams, and vocational rehabilitation programs throughout Central Kentucky.
If you are a discharge planner, a case manager, or a facility administrator, we can set up recurring schedules and standing routes with one point of contact and a direct line to dispatch.

We are based in Lexington and we cover Fayette County and the communities around it. If your appointment is outside these areas, call us anyway. We travel further than most people expect.
